The Parish Council is there to assist the pastor in his leadership role of planning, organizing, initiating, promoting, coordinating and reviewing the evangelization, worship, religious education/formation and service activities within the parish.

The purpose of the Parish Finance Council is to assist the pastor in his administrative responsibilities through fiscally prudent management of parish finances and in the administration of parish goods and resources.

The Altar Society helps to maintain the Altar and help with Liturgical planning. The group provides assistance to families for funeral dinners and supports church events. Ss Simon and Jude Altar Society provides support to many church and community events. Through our Flowers for Mother's Day we are able to provide a donation to Catholic Charities, we also collect supplies for local First Responders and provide a soup lunch during Lent. As a group we enjoy gathering for lunches during the year. All ladies of the parish are members and invited to attend the events. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month following weekday Mass.

Men from both Ss. Simon & Jude parish and St. Joseph parish in Benld are encouraged to join the Knights of Columbus Council 2076. Meetings are held once a month with meeting
